Romans 8:31-39
“31 What then are we to say about these
things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will
he not with him also give us everything else?”
This was first day of
September.
This was the first
Sunday of Fall.
New families became
members.
The Membership
affirmed its commitment and dedication to Covenant UMC.
Three new Grow groups
were announced: family group with adolescents, adult small group and a Ladies
Bible Study group.
And today was a
reminder of how God’s love is absolute.
Rev. Jason called this text from the Bible probably the greatest of all
God’s victories because it so clearly demonstrates how nothing can separate us
from God and God’s love. It is direct,
and states every possible reason for why we could be split from God’s love. Literally nothing could happen that would
cause this irrevocable division.
